‘Three Birds Basically’ is a collective formed by Carina Low, Chloe Lyon and Stellar Poon. The collective aims to exhibit work that promotes an intersectional feminist agenda. The name of the collective was a happy accident, a play on the term ‘three birds, one stone’ and reclaiming the derrogatory term of ‘birds’ as a way to refer to women. Three Birds Basically is currently working on a group exhibition that will showcase the three designer’s work focused on themes of sentimentality, internalised misogyny and sexism with Korean pop culture. The exhibition will feature a confession booth where attendees can confess times they have been internally misogynistic.
