‘Three Birds Basically’ is a collective formed by Carina Low, Chloe Lyon and Stellar Poon. The collective aims to exhibit work that promotes an intersectional feminist agenda. The name of the collective was a happy accident, a play on the term ‘three birds, one stone’ and reclaiming the term ‘birds’ as a way to refer to women. Three Birds Basically is currently working on a group exhibition that will showcase the three designer’s work focused on themes of sentimentality, internalised misogyny and sexism with Korean pop culture. The exhibition will feature a confession booth where attendees can confess times they have been internally or subconsiously misogynistic.
If you are an artist, designer, musician, poet, or all round creative that relates to any of these subject matters and are interested in collaborating please send us an email at ThreeBirdsBasically@gmail.com!
